Acorn house is located in Surrey, BC, an urban environment with many social and recreational opportunities that are readily available to residents, some within walking distance of 10 minutes or less. To protect our safe and secure environment, and in keeping with the philosophy of disconnecting from previous affiliations, we do not disclose the exact location of Acorn house. With all of the available amenities nearby, Acorn House is an ideal place to begin a journey of recovery.
Transportation and Arriving at Acorn
Upon completion of primary care at Cedars at Cobble Hill, patients journey to the mainland via ferry from the island and meet with Acorn staff upon arrival for transport to the house.
The majority of travel needs will be provided to residents by Acorn staff. Some of the needs for transportation are to and from 12-step meetings, doctor’s appointments, and other similar meetings. Although they may not be required by patients, the Surrey / White Rock area offers a variety of transit options, including busses and taxis.
Social and Recreational Opportunities
At Acorn we believe it is important that patients have access to social and recreational activities. By participating in these opportunities with peers in recovery, patients learn how to connect and grow alongside others in a variety of environments
